Tennessee's top COVID vaccine official is out of a job. Dr. Michelle Fiscus was fired yesterday. Dr. Fiscus was the medical director for vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization programs for the Tennessee Department of Health. The shortage has been brought on by fewer people donating since the coronavirus outbreak started and the rescheduling of elective surgeries that were put off over COVID-19 concerns. The Tennessee on Me campaign offers 250-dollar airline vouchers to the first ten-thousand people who book a minimum two-night stay in a participating hotel in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville or Memphis.
