One person is dead following a Mid-State crash involving a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer.  THP says the crash in Springfield yesterday involved multiple vehicles.  Officials say the trooper is not the person who was killed.  No additional information has been released

We’re learning more about a deadly shooting on I-24 in Robertson County.  TBI has identified the victim as 34-year-old Kanetha Lola Renee Miller of Nashville.  Authorities say it happened near exit 11 and ask anyone who may have witnessed something there Monday night to call them.  They say a suspect vehicle is a black Dodge Charger.

Tennesseans will gain an hour of sleep on Sunday with the end of Daylight Saving Time.  They’ll turn their clocks back an hour before heading to bed Saturday night.  Most of the country uses Daylight Saving Time.  Tennessee will spring forward an hour on Sunday, March 13th of next year.

Police in Ashland City say a man is recovering from a gunshot wound following a domestic incident yesterday afternoon.  Authorities report the injured man was in an argument with his girlfriend before assaulting her.  The woman’s adult son then intervened, shooting the man in the abdomen, according to police.  His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.  The woman also sought medical attention for injuries she sustained in the assault.  No word on possible charges has been released.

The jackpot for tonight’s Powerball drawing is up to an estimated one-point-two-billion dollars.  The payout is climbing toward the 2016 record prize of one-point-five-billion.  No one has hit the jackpot in the last 38 drawings.  The lump sum option for winnings is estimated at nearly 600-million.  Winning numbers will be selected just before ten central time tonight.

Today is National Deviled Egg day.  And it’s okay to eat up, the American Heart Association says a classic deviled egg with mustard, relish and mayonnaise is high in folate and vitamins B-6 and B-12.
