A freeze warning is being issued for tomorrow morning in Middle Tennessee. The National Weather Service says temperatures as low as 24 degrees are expected in the middle part of the state and a freeze warning will be in place from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. More information can be found at forecast.weather.gov.
A group of Middle Tennessee moms is looking for an end to incidents like the ones that took the lives of their children. Mothers Over Murder was founded 14 years ago by Clemmie Greenlee after she lost her only son to a gang-related shooting. Greenlee was joined by around two dozen other members for a march at Centennial Park Saturday, calling on local leaders and community members to get guns out of the hands of criminals. She says the current planning and strategizing to solve the issue isn’t effective, and that disrupting the system is what she is working to do.
Golf Digest includes Springfield’s Legacy Golf Course as one of the best public golf courses in Tennessee. The list was compiled with help of more than 1,900 course panelists who provided knowledge and first-hand experience about courses in each state across the country. The acknowledgement by Golf Digest is not the first time that the course has received recognition. The Legacy has consistently been ranked as one of the top courses to play by Golf Advisor, anywhere from 11th to as high as second in the state.
