Today is the last day to register to vote in Tennessee. Election day is November 8th and only Tennesseans who have registered by the end of the day today can take part. Registration can be completed online, by mail or in person. Voters will elect lawmakers as well as voice their opinion on certain issues including the potential removal of slavery as a punishment which still remains in the state’s Constitution. More burn bans are in place across Tennessee. Recent dry weather has prompted more cities and regions across the state to issue bans amid increased risk of wildfires. The US Drought Monitor shows much of Middle Tennessee is considered abnormally dry at the moment. There has not been any significant rain in the region since the end of July. Autopsy results of the wheelchair-bound Clarksville teen who prosecutors say was starved to death are revealing other disturbing details. The report notes ulcers on the back and hip of 13-year-old Kadaris Maddox. He also had scars on his jaw and back, and weighed only 35 pounds at the time of his death in July. Kadaris was born with cerebral palsy and was unable to care for himself. His mother, Cheyenne Maddox, is now in custody on first degree murder charges..
