A teen has been arrested in connection with a deadly home invasion last Friday in Goodlettsville. Two people wearing masks and armed with an AR-style weapon allegedly went into an apartment at the Retreat Apartments and opened fire on the people inside. Multiple victims were taken to the hospital and treated for gunshot wounds, while a male juvenile was pronounced dead at the hospital.  The Goodlettsville Police Department said a 15-year-old suspect was arrested concerning the case.  No other information was released.

A meme referencing hanging people is sparking controversy both online and in Wilson County.  The meme was posted on the Wilson County Republican Party of Tennessee’s Facebook page.  The image includes the following words in large block letters: “THEY’RE DOING IT AGAIN BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T HANG THEM LAST TIME.”  Aaron Fulcher, a member of the Wilson County Republican Party of Tennessee.  The meme is about the 2020 election, which he claims was stolen, even though there’s still no evidence of enough fraud to overturn the election.

A 38-year-old man was arrested today after a neighbor reportedly saw him dragging a body from his South Nashville apartment.   A maintenance man says he saw somebody drag what appeared to be a body down a flight of stairs.  Another resident told apartment staff he saw Dominic Collier push the body down into a rain culvert.  The medical examiner recovered the body from the ditch. Metro police reported it was wrapped in two blankets and a shower curtain with a white garbage bag wrapped around the head.  Collier was booked into the Metro jail and charged with abuse of a corpse, felony evidence tampering, and failure to report a dead body, officials said. His bond was set at $80,000. Scammers in Murfreesboro are calling residents, claiming to have kidnapped a loved one, demanding a ransom to be paid, and threatening violence, according to Murfreesboro police. The city’s 911 center has received multiple calls from people reporting similar incidents. Residents are urged not to fall for this fake kidnapping/ransom scam.
