It happened in Middle Tennessee a few months ago, now Kentucky authorities are asking Warren County residents for help finding those responsible for leaving Ku Klux Klan fliers outside multiple homes. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office the inflammatory nature purports to create division and a sense of authority and went on to say the County valued unity and the rule of law.
A police officer was taken into custody and fired after he allegedly bought drugs during an operation in Decherd last week. The Decherd Police Department said it launched an internal investigation after receiving a complaint that a Decherd officer was illegally buying narcotics. Over the course of the investigation by Chief Kenneth Griffin and Sgt. Investigator Greg King, officials said they found evidence substantiating the allegation. As a result, authorities decided to make a controlled buy to confirm Dustin Cook was unlawfully purchasing prescription drugs. Griffin and King arrested Cook when he received the narcotics.
A man accused of shooting at authorities and leading them on a pursuit through Maury County was taken into custody on Sunday. During the early morning hours on Sunday, Oct. 1, the Maury County Sheriff’s Department said it responded to help the Columbia Police Department with information on a possible suspect in a shooting investigation. The suspect — identified as Devin Edwin Rice — was caught after a brief car chase taken into custody before being treated and released by the Maury Regional Medical Center.
The owner of a horse stable in Christiana has been charged with multiple counts of rape following an extensive investigation, according to a Rutherford County detective. On Thursday, 51-year-old, Jason Lancaster was charged with multiple counts of rape of a teenage girl, authorities reported. Authorities reported that a second suspect — identified as 23-year-old Leya Victory of Christiana — was charged with conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence.
