A Mount Juliet man said he went to the movies with his wife at a local theater. The next morning, they woke up with dozens of bed bug bites, now Michal Steplowski says Regal Cinemas refused to cover their losses.  The insurance company for Regal Cinemas said they were not legally responsible for what happened and denied the claim.  Steplowski says he wants to be reimbursed for the two days he lost of work while being treated for bedbug bites.

Parents are calling for safety upgrades to Rocky Fork Road in Nolensville after a child is hit by a car on the way to school.  The Nolensville town manager says the town saw two incidents this school year. One, where a driver narrowly missed a child, and another where a driver hit a child crossing the street on his bike.  Nolensville already added stripes on the road and rumble strips to get drivers to pay closer attention.  The city is also working to reduce the speed limit in the area and cut back vegetation along the side of the road.

Christopher Moews, a thirty-year law enforcement veteran, is the new Police Chief in LaVergne following a sex scandal that rocked the department.  In a briefing with reporters Moews promised to hold himself to the highest of standards and never expect from his subordinates what he doesn’t demand from himself.  The chief says when it comes to other changes within the department and priorities, he’s still in assessing mode.

The United Autoworkers Union has issued a new warning to GM, Ford, and Stelantis — if they don’t make significant progress in their negotiations, more plants will join their strike starting Friday.  That could include the GM Plant in Spring Hill.  The UAW National Leadership hasn’t said if Spring Hill will be the next plant to join the picket line, but if they are selected, local union leaders indicate they’re ready. A man has been charged with vandalism after destroying another man’s fruit stand along Antioch Pike.  David Johnson was charged with felony vandalism after telling police he didn’t like Diego Parada having a fruit stand on the sidewalk in front of his property.
