Country music star Zach Bryan was arrested Thursday in Vinita, Oklahoma.  The singer-songwriter is facing an obstruction of investigation charge.  Further information on his arrest was not provided.  Bryan is scheduled to headline at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, Tennessee later this month.

Owners of about a dozen brands of vehicles are waiting to find out whether their airbags are safe. That’s because a Tennessee-based car company has refused a federal request to recall 52 million airbags that could explode, hurl shrapnel and injure or kill people.  The company is ARC Automotive and is based in Knoxville.  The company maintains that no safety defect exists, that NHTSA’s demand is based on a hypothesis rather than technical conclusions, and that the agency has no authority to order a parts manufacturer to announce recalls.

The Alan L. Mayor Retrospective exhibit officially opened Wednesday, Sept. 6 inside the Bobby Hotel in downtown Nashville.
