The special session of the Tennessee General Assembly ended in chaos, including pushing and shoving between lawmakers and shouting from the public. Republican lawmakers rammed through an adjournment of the House sine die before Rep. Justin Jones could officially call for a vote of no confidence of Speaker Cameron Sexton.  Shortly after the House was gaveled out, a situation between Rep. Justin Pearson and Sexton broke out before lawmakers swarmed both men to separate them.

Law enforcement in Williamson County is pleading with parents to talk to their children about the consequences of school threats after a threatening message was posted in a school group chat.  In a Public Services Announcement posted by the Williamson County School District parents are urged to take the time to sit and talk to their students about the seriousness of making school threats.  The reminder comes after a threat was posted against Page High School. The threat was posted on a class group message page. Quickly, administrators, law enforcement, parents, and even students flagged the content.  The sheriff’s office says the threat was not credible.

A woman wanted for multiple felonies in Mt. Juliet is now behind bars thanks to Belle Meade police and a vast array of LPR cameras that tracked police right to her.  Saturday afternoon one of those cameras alerted police that a wanted woman was driving through. That Mt. Juliet suspect has now been identified as Lamonica Howse.  The 33-year-old was wanted for multiple felonies out of Wilson County including theft, tampering with evidence, evading arrest, reckless endangerment, and possession of an anti-theft device.  Howse is in the Wilson County Jail with a $13,000 bond.

Robertson County residents are set to see a property tax hike in the near future, the rate will be much lower than initial proposals The Robertson County Commission passed a resolution approving a new property tax rate increase of 9.43% from the previous proposal of 13.7%.  The bill must pass a second reading before final approval.
