The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Thursday evening officer-involved shooting in Watertown.  The sheriff’s office says deputies were conducting a welfare check at a home when the shooting happened. The man reportedly came to the door armed with a weapon and deputies ordered him to drop it.   The man refused and was then shot.  Investigators said no deputies were injured. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is also at the scene.

A Clarksville man is dead after helping a stranger whose car broke down.  44-year-old Harry Roman was on his way to work an overnight shift August 2nd when he stopped to help a stranded motorist on 101st Airborne Division Parkway. According to the Clarksville Police Department, while Roman was pushing the vehicle off the roadway, it was rear-ended by another driver.  Roman on life support until Monday, Aug. 7.

A Pegram, Tennessee man has been identified as the Nissan worker who died after a “work-related incident” at the Nissan Complex in Smyrna.  54-year-old Brian Keith Armstrong died on July 28 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. The incident that sent him to the hospital occurred on July 17.  The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration is expected to take between 8 – 10 weeks to complete.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office worked with Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) agents to apprehend an unstable man who was in possession of explosive chemicals and posted a video bragging about it.  The man in the video was identified as 30-year-old Levi Flatt, who is a Putnam County resident. ATF agents were contacted, and it was determined that Flatt had enough materials to make a bomb and a search warrant was issued.

A woman was shot while withdrawing money Thursday at a Bank of America ATM, Metro Nashville Police confirm. The suspect is behind bars. According to police, 18-year-old Roy M. Davis, of Antioch, walked up to the 32-year-old victim’s driver side window as she was retrieving cash from the ATM, pointed a firearm at her and shot her once in the left shoulder.
