AAA says Gas prices are rising rapidly in Tennessee. The motor club says over the last week, gas prices in the Volunteer State have jumped by 21 cents, bringing the average cost per gallon to $3.38. The average is 29 cents more than a month ago but 41 cents lower than this time last year. AAA reports the reason for the jump is a recent surge in the price of crude oil and record-heat which has reduced the output of fuel from refineries.
