An electric vehicle charging station manufacturing plant is opening in Lebanon.  Company leaders hosted a grand opening celebration at Tritium yesterday.  The factory will employ around five-hundred workers, hiring around ten people per week right now.  Officials say around 40 percent of the materials used to build the chargers will come from local sources

Free Hunting Day is upcoming this weekend.  Tennesseans will be allowed to hunt without a license on Saturday which is also the opening day of squirrel hunting season.  Hunter education is required to hunt on Saturday.  More information about the requirements can be found on the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency website.

Nolensville is continuing their undefeated run in the Little League World Series.  The team took down Indiana yesterday with a score of five runs to two.  They will now face the team representing the West region this afternoon. The tournament runs through Sunday.

The latest study on hate crimes in Tennessee shows an increase in 2021 compared to the two prior years.  The TBI released its 2021 hate crime study yesterday.  It finds there were 133 bias motivated incidents last year which is eleven more than 2020 and 21 more than in 2019.  About 73-percent of the hate crimes reported were against people including murder, intimidation and assaults.

The Robertson County Historical Society is gearing up for “The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James Festival” Saturday.  An old, Wild West bank robbery reenactment on the Springfield courthouse square is the highlight of the event.  The festival, which is in its second year, celebrates the 36th Anniversary of the 1986 film, The Last Days of Frank & Jesse James, in which several scenes were “filmed in and around the Robertson County Courthouse and Orlinda.
