Efforts are underway to help the children of a fallen Tennessee National Guard pilot afford college. Loved ones have established a scholarship fund for the four kids who lost their father, Chief Warrant Officer Danny Randolph. His cousin, Mark Hammock, established the fund and also delivered the eulogy at his funeral on Saturday. Family members issued a statement thanking community members for the support they have shown ahead of Randolph’s memorial service.
If you’re doing some traveling this week, Officials with Nashville International Airport are reminding travelers to plan ahead during the busy spring break season. They say the airport will see a higher volume of traffic for the rest of month, with this week likely one of the busiest. BNA operators are encouraging passengers to arrive at least two hours ahead of their boarding time. They also suggest checking flight statuses before heading to the airport..
Triple A is urging motorists to adjust their sleep schedules with this weekend’s Daylight Saving Time switch. Travel club spokesperson Kara Hitchens says losing an hour of sleep with the time change can make drivers more tired than they realize. She suggests getting at least seven hours of shut-eye and travelling during times you are normally awake as some steps to avoid feeling drowsy on the road. Clocks move ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
And in case you fell asleep in front of the TV last night, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is the big winner of the 95th Academy Awards. The film took home Best Picture, including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Out of its eleven nominations, the movie scored seven wins.
Three out of four Americans who moved in 2022 have some regrets. A new survey from real estate brokerage Home Bay found the biggest regret was a tie between wishing they had moved to a bigger place and missing their old home. Other regrets were that the new home was too expensive, it was too much of a hassle and it took too long.
