A teen is facing charges for falsely reporting a gun at Springfield High School. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened Wednesday when dispatchers alerted a school resource officer that they had gotten a tip claiming a weapon was in the building. Detectives were able to locate and apprehend the 15-year-old a short time later. The juvenile is charged with making a threat of mass violence among other offenses.
Richard Raney has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the White House Public Library. The four year old received a certificate of completion, a tote bag, a children’s book, and a Café 31 gift card for his efforts. The 1.000 Books Before Kindergarten program promotes early literacy.
