Governor Bill Lee wants to give millions in state funds to support Tennessee’s anti-abortion centers.  Lee’s recently released budget proposal includes a 100-million-dollar grant program for the facilities which are often called “crisis pregnancy centers.”  Officials say the program’s approval would make Tennessee one of the highest spending states for the centers.  The idea is included in the Governor’s budget which is still only a proposal, and would need to be approved by the legislature to come into effect.

AT&T is looking for candidates to fill more than two dozen jobs in Nashville.  Some of those open positions are for installation technician, which includes a five-thousand-dollar sign-on bonus.  Other roles involve retail management and business-to-business sales.  Those interested in applying can find additional information by searching A-T-T-dot-jobs.

There’s bipartisan support for a new bill that would feed Tennessee students.  Republican Representative Kevin Raper introduced legislation that would give any school student , public or public charter, free breakfast and lunch on a daily basis.  Democratic Representative John Ray Clemmons introduced a similar bill in the past, but it was denied by Republicans.  The lawmakers claim providing free breakfast and lunch is long overdue, though the bill is expected to get some pushback from more conservative Republicans in the state.
