One measure would prohibit healthcare providers from giving gender affirming care to minors. That bill would also require the Attorney General to establish a process to report violations of the law and fine providers 25-thousand-dollars.  An education bill calls for allowing all boards of education to adopt a policy allowing their director of schools to authorize and choose employees to carry a concealed gun on school grounds.

No charges are currently filed against the eight La Vergne police officers involved in a recently-uncovered sex scandal.  District Attorney General Jennings Jones says the incidents reported among the officers appear to be mostly policy violations and not criminal activity.  Five officers have been terminated, and three suspended, for allegedly engaging in sexual acts while in duty and on city property.  An internal report also mentions off-duty parties involving further sexual conduct and exchanges of explicit photos.

And if you regularly commute to and from Nashville, you will probably find this as no surprise:  A report compiled by auto market bloggers CoPilot shows Nashville-area motorists are trapped behind the wheel during rush hour for around 80 extra hours per year.  The study shows backups add around 19 minutes per day, with 12 minutes of that time usually coming in the evening.
