The City of White House and White House Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a superhero themed Christmas parade on Saturday.  The parade will feature floats and entries from individuals, local businesses, schools and churches. Awards will be given for the top three entries as determined by a panel of judges selected by the White House Parks and Recreation Department.

On Dec. 10, the City of Millersville is having an Ugly Sweater Christmas Parade, complete with an ugly sweater contest and followed with a movie and popcorn at the Millersville Community Center.  Beginning at 1:00 that afternoon Louisville Highway will be shut down from Pole Hill Road to Long Dr. for the parade.

The woman accused of hitting two pedestrians in Clarksville last month is now in custody.  Police say 34-year-old Imec Almestica-Tisdale was arrested at the Montgomery County Courthouse yesterday.  Investigators say she hit two people on Lafayette Road around 12:30 p.m. on November eighth.  Authorities have been searching for Almestica-Tisdale since the incident, saying she falsely reported her vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day the night after the crash took place.

Governor Bill Lee is joining other Republican governors asking Congress to repeal the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the military.  The governor called the federal vaccine mandate a threat to national security and readiness at home in Tennessee.  Lee says he and the other 20 governors are calling on Congressional leaders to restore personal freedom for the brave men and women who serve our nation

Officials with Blood Assurance say ongoing illnesses are impacting the available blood supply.  Team Leader Stephanie McGraw says donations are down as individuals cancel appointments because they aren’t feeling well.  Blood drives at businesses are also being postponed as workers are out due to their own illnesses or are taking time off to care for children.  The organization is urging healthy individuals to visit blood-assurance-dot-org to schedule an appointment to donate
