Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Betts Rd between Ridgetop and Coopertown Saturday evening. A woman was transported to Skyline Medical Center in serious condition and a man taken to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield in stable condition. The White House Community Volunteer Fire Department say the occupants were pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. The woman’s arm was reportedly pinned outside the window and under the vehicle after the crash.

There’s one less option to place online sports bets in Tennessee. The Tennessee Lottery has suspended the sports betting license of Action 24/7 and says its license will remain suspended until Lottery staff receives sufficient verification that minimum internal control standards are in place to prevent potential illegal activity. Action 24/7 says its license was suspended due to “suspicious player deposit activity.” Action 24/7 says the suspicious activity was detected quickly and it took swift action, suspending the accounts involved.
Tennessee’s senior U.S. senator is getting a first-hand look at what she says is a crisis on America’s southern border. Senator Marsha Blackburn met with authorities in Arizona yesterday. Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb said it’s estimated that nearly half of all the illegal drugs in the U.S. come through Arizona’s borders.
Tennessee lawmakers are expected to consider a bill this week to raise the minimum wage to 12-dollars an hour. Democrats Senator Sara Kyle and Rep. Jesse Chism introduced the bill last month to increase the state’s minimum wage from seven-25 an hour. If it becomes law, the bill would raise the minimum wage gradually over four years. It would also establish that the minimum-overtime-hourly rate for employees working more than 40 hours a week must be one-and-a-half times the regular wage rate.
