A house in the White House area is a total loss and a family of five is homeless after a fire ripped through their home Thursday afternoon.
Six people have died so far in Tennessee from a winter storm that hit the region this week. According to the Tennessee Department of Health in a report from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, one death in each came from Maury, Williamson, Dickson and Overton counties. Two deaths are reported in Shelby County in western Tennessee.
It is possible to refreeze overnight, which could lead to some dangerous driving conditions. We strongly advise citizens to stay home tomorrow morning or to be very careful if travel is necessary.
The city of Springfield will operate with a 2-hour delay on Friday, February 19. City offices will open at 9:30 a.m. The parks will be closed.
