The Tennessee Department of Health reported 34-hundred new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to nearly 716 thousand.  150 additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported, bringing the total number of coronavirus-attributed deaths statewide to more than 93 hundred.  Some two thousand COVID-19 patients are hospitalized statewide. Robertson County has had 7,993 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. 7,435 have recovered and 89 have died form COVID19 in Robertson County.

The Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency will be hosting a 2-day FREE food giveaway event in Robertson County set for Wednesday, February 3rd  and Thursday, February 4th from 9 am to 3 pm at Travis Price Park. The food is available for any Robertson County resident in need. 

More Tennesseans are buying guns.  Data from the TBI shows Tennesseans bought nearly double the number of guns in 2020 than they did the year before.  The TBI says it processed 740-thouand-580 background checks last year.  That’s compared to just over 484-thousand-700 in 2019.

White House city leaders hope a new, planned roadway extending from a commercial area anchored by a Love’s Travel stop on Highway 76 will provide an alternative for motorists and spur development. Harper Way will extend from Loves Lane and connect to Union Road. It will span about 1,700 feet, and city leaders say it gives motorists a traffic light to access Highway 76. White House Director of Planning and Codes Ceagus Clark said there is also a development opportunity of land behind the Love’s Travel Stop.
