Three people are hospitalized following a Tuesday morning head-on crash at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Hwy 431 North in Springfield. The impact pushed one of the vehicles off the road and into a ditch where it landed on its nose.  The victims, a 41-year-old woman, an 80-year-old woman, and an 80-year-old man all escaped serious injuries and are in stable condition at NorthCrest Medical Center.

– A Springfield man woke up Tuesday morning to find his 7th Ave West house on fire.  He had just seconds to evacuate with nothing but the clothes on his back.  Springfield Fire Chief Jeff Glodoski says the preliminary cause of the fire appears to be electrical.  The owners of the property said they were carrying insurance on the structure but the one family member that was living in the home has lost everything. The investigation continues.

The Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency will be hosting a 2-day FREE food giveaway event in Robertson County set for Wednesday, February 3rd  and Thursday, February 4th from 9 am to 3 pm at Travis Price Park. The food is available for any Robertson County resident in need.

White House city leaders hope a new, planned roadway extending from a commercial area anchored by a Love’s Travel stop on Highway 76 will provide an alternative for motorists and spur development. Harper Way will extend from Loves Lane and connect to Union Road. It will span about 1,700 feet, and city leaders say it gives motorists a traffic light to access Highway 76. White House Director of Planning and Codes Ceagus Clark said there is also a development opportunity of land behind the Love’s Travel Stop. 

Tennessee’s U.S. senators are voting to oppose the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.  Senator Marsha Blackburn said yesterday she voted to support an “objection to holding a partisan, unconstitutional trial against a former President.”  Blackburn added it’s time for the country to move forward, instead of looking backwards and fighting the same battles.  Fellow Republican Bill Hagerty called the trial “an unconstitutional, political sideshow.”
