Robertson County youth submitted 112 entries for the 2020 4-H Virtual Fair.  Sonny Neal, Lily Weaver, and Allen Jones were the winners of the “most entries submitted” award in their respective age groups. The results were posted on the Robertson County TN 4-H Facebook page.  Categories offered were selected from the Robertson County Fair Association 2019 catalog.  The exhibits were entered in Garden, Farm Products, Baking, Canning and Creative Arts, plus the Pet Show.  Prize money was provided by the United Way of Greater Nashville-Robertson County, and ribbons were provided by the Robertson County Fair Association.

Early voting for the November elections starts tomorrow in Tennessee.  Early voting will last through Thursday, October 29th.  Tennessee elections officials say they believe early voting will exceed in-person voting on Election Day.  Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported two-thousand-965 new cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to over 217-thousand.  Over half-a-dozen additional COVID-19-related deaths were also reported.  There have been more than 27-hundred deaths attributed to the coronavirus in Tennessee since the outbreak began.  Robertson County has had 2,387 cases since the start of the outbreak, 2,221 have recovered and 39 have died from COVID-19 in Robertson County.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett says he tested positive on Sunday.  He released a statement yesterday saying he’s feeling well and will quarantine at home for the required amount of time.  Durrett encouraged folks in Montgomery County to follow CDC guidelines as a defense against COVID-19.

Despite coronavirus concerns, the Tennessee Titans’ game against the Buffalo Bills is expected to go on at Nissan Stadium tonight.  The Titans are about a field goal underdog to the Bills.  Both teams enter the game unbeaten.  The game is set for 6 o’clock.
