A crackdown on human trafficking has resulted in the arrest of a Livingston man.  In May, Agents began investigating a tip to the Tennessee Human Trafficking Hotline. It was from management at a hotel in Springfield who reported suspicious activity that appeared consistent with mandatory human trafficking training employees had received.  45-year-old Timothy C. Duke was identified as the alleged individual at the hotel with a juvenile. On September 24th, the Robertson County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Duke with two counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape. Friday, Duke was taken into custody by the Overton County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Robertson County Jail on $25,000 bond.

The Tennessee Department of Health reported two-thousand-68 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to over 209-thousand.  Nearly ten additional COVID-19-related deaths were also reported.  There have been more than 27-hundred deaths attributed to the coronavirus in Tennessee since the outbreak began.  Robertson County has had 2,348 cases since the start of the outbreak, 2,203 have recovered and 39 have died from COVID-19 in Robertson County.

State Senator Kerry Roberts is recovering from an aneurysm.  The Republican was taken to the hospital on Friday.  Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally said Roberts was stable and alert.  Roberts serves District 25, which includes Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys, and Robertson counties.

As of now, the Tennessee Titans are still expected to play tomorrow night.  The Titans practiced yesterday after their facility was closed earlier in the day when a support staff member tested positive for the coronavirus.  The team says the practice lasted about an hour-and-45 minutes.  The NFL also said yesterday that the game against the Bills at Nissan Stadium is expected to go on.
