Visitations for inmates at three state facilities are resuming. The Tennessee Department of Corrections says a modified visitation schedule for the Turney Center Industrial Complex, the Morgan County Correctional Complex and the Mark Luttrell Transition Center will start tomorrow. The decision to resume limited visits at the facilities is based on community data from the Department of Health, as well as there being no active coronavirus cases at each site. Visitation at every TDOC facility was suspended in March over coronavirus concerns.
The state has relaxed restrictions on nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. The new protocols will be based on the transmission rate of coronavirus within each facility.
