The Greenbrier High School class of 2021 will be honored Tuesday, May 18th from 6:30-8 pm with a “Senior Parade” hosted by Veterans Motorplex at the Rim.  Seniors will be standing in the infield of the track in their caps and gowns while, parents, friends, and family can drive one lap around the track to honor them.

The Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency will be hosting a 2-day FREE food giveaway event in Robertson County set for Wednesday, May 5th and Thursday, May 6th from 9 am to 3 pm at Travis Price Park for any and all Robertson County residents in need. In addition, the United Ministries Food Bank will be holding a Drive-thru Food Pantry on Friday, May 7th from 9-11am at the Willow Street parking lot next to Springfield Baptist Church.

A Nashville FBI technician is facing child porn charges.  Justin D. Carroll was arrested yesterday when he arrived to work at the Nashville FBI office.  He’s accused of exchanging sexually explicit images and videos with a 14-year-old.  The investigation of the 38-year-old Antioch man started when a package filled with a teddy bear and candies that didn’t indicate a recipient on the label was sent to the Nashville FBI office. 

Governor Bill Lee signs an Executive Order and ends the authority of mayors in all but six counties to issue mask mandates.  The Executive Order signed today says COVID-19 is now a managed public health issue in Tennessee and not a statewide public health emergency.  The governor has also requested that counties with independent health departments like Davidson, Shelby, Madison, Hamilton, Knox and Sullivan to remove remaining business restrictions and lift mask requirements no later than the end of May.

A bill to allow collegiate athletes to be paid for their likeness is approved in the State House.  Representatives gave their approval to the measure Monday.  The Senate version of the bill will be taken under consideration by this week.
