A man was hit by a train in Portland just before 6 Friday night. The accident was behind TCAT / Portland East Middle School.  The Portland Fire Department says the victim was Life-Flighted to the hospital, but his condition is unknown.

The Robertson County Board of Education is holding its Annual District Job Fair on Thursday, April 15th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Board of Education Central office. Robertson County Schools is offering parents of pre-k students assistance in the application process for the 2021-22 school year. To get help go to Bransford Elementary this Wednesday or Tuesday, April 20th from 4:00 – 6:00; Friday, April 23rd from 8:30 – 11:30 or Wednesday, May 5th from 4:00 – 6:00.  Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child.

Spring turkey hunting season is open in most of Tennessee.  The season officially got underway on Saturday.  Governor Bill Lee tweeted on opening day wishing his fellow hunters across the state good luck.  The season ends on May 16th in all areas.

International children’s charity Save The Children is getting thousands of dollars thanks to Carrie Underwood.  Her Easter Sunday virtual concert at the Ryman raised over 68-thousand dollars yesterday.  Underwood sang hymns from her first gospel album, My Savior, that was recently released.  She was joined during the concert by gospel legend CeCe Winans and NEEDTOBREATHE frontman Bear Rinehart. That concert will stay on Facebook the next couple of days if you missed it.
