The Robertson County Board of Education is holding its Annual District Job Fair on Thursday, April 15th from noon to 4 p.m. at the Board of Education Centra office. The district needs certified teachers in all areas. bring your up-to-date resumé. Sign in at the front of the building. Masks are required.

Robertson County Schools is offering parents of pre-k students assistance in the application process for the 2021-22 school year. To get help go to Bransford Elementary Wednesday, April 7 or Tuesday, April 20th from 4:00 – 6:00; Friday, April 23rd from 8:30 – 11:30 or Wednesday, May 5th from 4:00 – 6:00.  Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child.

State health officials are warning Tennesseans against letting their guard down against the coronavirus.  Over 20 percent of Tennesseans have started the process of getting vaccinated against COVID-19.  However, Tennessee remains one of the most infectious states when it comes to new cases of the virus.  Tennessee Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey said yesterday she’s “fairly certain it’s going to get worse.”

A bill being debated at the state Capitol would require aborted fetuses either be cremated or buried.  The bill passed through a state house subcommittee yesterday with a positive recommendation to the full health committee.  It would require a woman having an abortion or healthcare facility to pay for the handling of the process.  Murfreesboro Republican Representative Tim Rudd, who sponsored the bill says he’s trying to create a process to treat aborted human beings with dignity.

A comic book featuring country music icon Dolly Parton is being released today.  The book produced by TidalWave Comics tells Dolly’s story in a series focused on women.  It’s part of a series called Female Force, which has also featured Mother Teresa, Kamala Harris, Betty White and Michelle Obama.  The 22 page comic book is available digitally and in print.
