The hunt is on for the suspect in a shooting incident in which a Hendersonville Police officer was injured.  Yesterday, the Hendersonville officer was on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard when someone inside a van he was trying to stop for a license plate violation started firing shots at the officer's unit. Several Middle Tennessee communities are issuing burning bans as hot and dry weather continues.  Mount Juliet, Lebanon, and Robertson County are not allowing outdoor burning.  Mount Juliet police are looking for outdoor fires while on patrol after crews had to extinguish a five-acre blaze Tuesday.  The City of Brentwood announced a temporary burning ban earlier this week. Tennessee has opened a new hotline for potholes. Drivers statewide can now report potholes and other road maintenance issues to the Department of Transportation by calling 1-833-TDOTFIX (836-8349). Callers will be asked to provide as much information as possible about the issue. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation is issuing an air quality alert for Middle Tennessee again today.  High levels of ozone or fine particle pollution could be in the atmosphere.  Doctor Stokes Peebles with Vanderbilt Medical Center says those with lung and heart disease, older people, and children are most affected by poor air quality.  Ozone levels typically reach their peak between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. in Middle Tennessee.
