An SUV crashed into a Springfield home at Woodland St and 18th Ave early Tuesday morning. No one was injured but the crash caused heavy damage to the home. The Robertson County Health Department today announced it has received its first shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Health Department staff members administered the Moderna vaccine to first responders, home health care providers, student health care providers, and group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. There are over 16-thousand new coronavirus cases in Tennessee.  Over 100 additional deaths are also being reported.  The numbers released yesterday by the Tennessee Department of Health are for yesterday and Saturday.  There have been over 519-thousand COVID cases in Tennessee since the outbreak began with over six-thousand coronavirus-related deaths. City leaders in Springfield have approved a $535,000 Local Parks and Recreation Fund Grant for upgrades at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. One person is dead, another hospitalized, and a juvenile is in custody following a Thursday night shooting in Portland.  Portland Police are investigating the shooting that occurred y just before 3 p.m. at a home on William Mack Lane.
