A probation officer made a grim discovery while making a “home visit” in Portland on Tuesday.  The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office says two people were found dead inside the home, a 32-year-old adult and a 3-month-old infant. The Tennessee Department of Health reported one-thousand-226 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to nearly 745-thousand-830.  Nearly 100 additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported, bringing the total number of coronavirus-attributed deaths statewide to over ten-thousand-560.  Close to 12-hundred COVID-19 patients are hospitalized statewide.
