The Department of Defense is reporting the death of an Airman from Middle Tennessee.  The DOD announced yesterday that 27-year-old Staff Sergeant Dennis F. Melton was killed in a non-combat-related situation on February 18th.  Melton died at the Nigerien Air Base 101 after being deployed with the 768th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron.  Melton was from Waverly.
