If you thought Covid-19 was the only disease that Tennesse would have to face this year, I have bad news. The CDC warned that a disease is currently spreading across Tennesse and several other states. And for infants and senior citizens, it can be deadly. It’s called respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and leads to approximately 58,000 hospitalizations with 100-500 deaths among children younger than 5 years old and 177,000 hospitalizations with 14,000 deaths among adults aged 65 years or older.(Source NewsBreak)

If the Springfield High School football team was looking ahead to next week’s region tilt against Henry County, head coach Dustin Wilson couldn’t tell. The Yellow Jackets (5-1) traveled to Rossview on Friday, Sept. 24 and came away with the 14-7 win. The gunman in a deadly mass shooting in West Tennessee is connected to the Mid-State.  Kroger subcontractor Uk Thang [[ UCK THAHNG ]] killed one person and injured more than a dozen others before killing himself at a Collierville Kroger on Thursday.  Thang’s car is registered in Davidson County.  His parents live in Antioch.  (Various Sources

MNPD says guns stolen from vehicles is an epidemic in Nashville.  Metro police say over 60 percent of all guns reported stolen this year were taken from vehicles.  They say over 800 guns have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville so far this year.  Police say many of the gun thefts can be prevented by removing them from vehicles, locking vehicles and not leaving them running.  (Press release)

The Clarksville Police department is mourning the loss of. Sgt. David Miller who died at Tennova Hospital last week. He had been with the Clarksville Police department for over 20 years. The funeral for Sgt. Miller will be held Tuesday.. (WSMV)

Victims of the deadly Aug. 21 floods in Middle Tennessee have until October 22nd to apply for Small Business Administration loans. Up to $200,000 in disaster loans are available for homeowners to replace or repair damaged real estate. Additionally, homeowners and renters are eligible for up to $40,000 (FOX 17  )
