There are nearly four-thousand new coronavirus cases in Tennessee.  The Tennessee Department of Health reported the new cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to one-million-203-thousand-930.  Over 60 additional COVID-19-related deaths were also reported, with the total number standing at   14-thousand-740.  There are nearly 31-hundred COVID-19 hospitalizations in Tennessee (source TDOH)

A new proactive effort to stop panhandling in Mt. Juliet is underway.  Signs placed around the community urge drivers to say no to panhandling and to contribute to the solution by giving to local charities.  On a Facebook post, the city says it’s a graceful approach to panhandlers while still trying to get them help with the issues they face.  City officials say people who want to help and be part of a long-term solution can donate to a charity like the Mt. Florim USA is expanding its operations at its facility in Clarksville.  The move by the porcelain tile manufacturer will create 30 new jobs.  The expansion is an investment of about 35-million dollars by the Italian company.  Governor Bill Lee said yesterday international investment in Tennessee bolsters the state’s reputation as a global leader in business, trade and manufacturing. Voting is underway for Tennessee’s next license plate design.  The state is required to update the standard design every eight years and this one will be available in January of next year.  Residents have until just before midnight Monday to cast their vote.  The four choices and a ballot can be found at TN-dot-gov-slash-governor-slash-rate-the-plates. Robertson County residents are just a short drive away from some quality entertainment. The two day Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival returns to Franklin tomorrow. The event is being held at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm.  Those attending are required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours before the festival begins.  (Various Sources)
