A Robertson County School bus driver is dead. Long-time driver JT Rigsby died from COVID-19 yesterday. The school system says he was respected by his peers and loved by the community and offter their condolences to has family and friends.

The annual “Autumn in the Brier” event will be held on Sat. Sept 25th from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Greenbrier Historical Society Museum & Library grounds across from Greenbrier City Hall. The fall event is free to attend and features historical demonstrations, a Bake Sale, Book Sale, Silent Auction, BBQ, Hamburgers, Hot dogs, and vendor booths.

The City of Adams is hosting its First Annual Fall Fest October 29th from noon to 9:00 and October 30th from 10 AM to 9 PM at the Bell School and Omer Gene Brooksher Pavilion. The event will feature music, food, activities for all ages, costume competition, and trunk or treat..

Riverfest 2021 in Montgomery County is canceled. A rise in COVID cases is prompting the decision to cancel this weekend’s festivities. Officials say they wanted to err on the side of caution and it was not an easy decision. Mayor Joe Pitts says multiple medical professionals were consulted and he didn’t want the event to be a contributing factor to an already dire situation with COVID. Riverfest generally attracts more than 30-thousand people.
