Robertson County returns to school Wednesday with COVID still an issue. Students will not be required to wear masks, show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have their temperature taken. RCS will work with local health departments and academic organizations like the TSSAA to adhere to their guidelines. This year, contact tracing will be administered by the Robertson County Health Department, not the school district. There are no options for virtual or hybrid learning, per Gov. Bill Lee. However, if a student misses school due to contact tracing but feels well enough to work, Microsoft Teams will be available to them. Over the last two weeks, there have been 154 new cases of COVID-19 in Robertson County, which is a 97 percent increase over the previous two weeks, per the Tennessee Health Department.
