A child reportedly fell out of an apartment window last night and suffered life-threatening injuries. Lebanon police say the child fell from an apartment near Lebanon Road at Five Oaks before 6 p.m. The child was transported to a Nashville hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Lebanon Road was briefly shut down so that LifeFlight could safely transport the patient
Kentucky authorities stated that a Clarksville man was arrested on Monday after an incident at a Christian County, Kentucky elementary school. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said that 38-year-old Jayvis Hall was arrested with the help of Clarksville Police. Hall was charged with terroristic threatening, violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order or domestic violence order, and falsely reporting an incident.
For the first time in nearly 20 years, Wilson County leaders are re-evaluating what can be built on their land. One of the concerns has been farmland vanishing as new developments move in. Tuesday night, county leaders heard from the public who said they wanted to slow growth before they updated the county’s master land use plan.
The Springfield Police Department will soon have a new tool at its disposal to help solve missing persons cases or burglaries after city leaders recently voted in favor of installing cameras that read license plates. In a 7-0 unanimous vote at their meeting on Oct. 15, the Springfield Board of Mayor and Alderman approved a contract for license plate readers and installation with Flock Safety Inc. of Atlanta. City Manager Ryan Martin, says the agreement with Flock Safety is for the company to provide six license plate readers. He says the issue had been previously discussed at the city’s strategic planning meetings.
A nationwide baby powder recall prompted by potential asbestos contamination has been expanded. The Food & Drug Administration, the recall impacts hundreds of Dynacare Baby Powder products sold on or after January 18, 2024. The products were sold directly and on Amazon in 35 states including Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama.
