Police have identified the man shot and killed in a Madison business’ parking lot on Saturday night as Edin Delacruz-Reyes. Metro Police say a small group of men had reportedly gathered in the back parking lot during the evening. The motive of the shooting is under investigation, police said.

Three people from Dickson County — one of whom had outstanding warrants — were taken into custody Sunday evening after a shoplifting incident turned into a brief police pursuit in Mt. Juliet. Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD) said officers responded to Walmart, where the trio “attempted to steal a large amount of merchandise,” shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20. While fleeing the store, one suspect allegedly assaulted an employee. Then, all three suspects left the scene in a vehicle that crashed. MNPD said one male suspect ran from the car, but an officer apprehended him following a brief chase and a struggle. Officials later discovered the suspect had outstanding warrants in Dickson County and Mississippi. Police said they also took two female suspects into custody at the scene.

Multiple Montgomery County units responded to a shop fire in Saint Bethlehem at approximately 11:52 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, firefighters were called to Sadlersville Road where a two-car detached garage, that doubled as a shop, was fully engulfed in flames.
