Proceeds go to the nonprofit, Ambria’s Oasis, which gives back to grieving parents through retreats and counseling and promotes road safety when it comes to proper signage and guardrails.
In a letter to the entire university, Austin Peay President Mike Licari addressed allegations circulating online regarding an employee. Licari directly addressed concerns about a faculty member’s alleged involvement with extreme ideological groups. He did not comment on specifics but assured that the university is taking these concerns seriously and actively assessing the situation. In the letter, he said that APSU would be improving its hiring practices by requiring applicants to disclose past activities that could damage the university’s representation and utilizing third-party professional services to conduct social media checks on applicants as part of their vetting process.
