Spring Hill police arrested a Chicago truck driver after multiple motorists called 911 and took video of his dangerous driving for many miles along Interstate 65 North. Spring Hill police say the video shows truck driver 29-year-ole Bohdan Matiuk from Chicago, driving his truck wildly. When officers got Matiuk out of the cab, investigators noted that he smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. Matiuk told officers that other drivers were trying to break check him. A search of the cab revealed two open containers on the passenger side floorboard. Police said that additional sealed containers were found in a refrigerator in the cab behind the driver’s seat. After failing a field sobriety test, the trucker was arrested and taken to the hospital for a blood draw. He was then taken to the Maury County Jail. The results of that blood test have not yet been released.

Global Vision Bible Church is moving following noise complaints, lawsuits, and traffic concerns. Global Vision Bible Church has been in Mt. Juliet since 2007. As their church grew, services moved to outside tents, causing complaints from surrounding neighbors. Earlier this month, in a sermon, Global Vision Bible Church announced they are moving. Pastor Greg Locke said the move comes after years of enduring neighbor complaints, six lawsuits, and people wanting to buy the property.

Kids across Middle Tennessee head back to school over the next few weeks, and more families are claiming exemptions so their children do not have to get vaccines. According to a health report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Vaccine coverage also remains below pre-pandemic levels, Data shows from the 2019 to the 2021–22 school year vaccine coverage for kindergartners dropped from 95% to approximately 93% as more parents opted for vaccine exemptions. The CDC says non-medical exemptions account for more than 90% of reported exemptions. Data shows that if more than 5% of kindergartners don’t get their vaccines, there’s a higher risk of disease outbreaks that could’ve been prevented.
