Two people have been arrested in the case of a Springfield man who was found shot dead along train tracks in Middle Tennessee. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, and 34-year-old Misael Cruz-Hernandez for the killing of 24-hear-old Carlos Camaja. The investigation has determined that the shooting death of Camaja occurred at a residence on N. Oak St in Springfield. He was then brought and left at the location near the train tracks. Evidence collected during the execution of search warrants led to the arrest of Ramirez-Hernandez, the girlfriend of Camaja, and Misael Cruz-Hernandez, the son of Ramirez-Hernandez.

Two people were rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in Madison on Monday. At last check, one victim is in very critical condition while the other is in critical but stable condition at Skyline Medical Center. NPD has not released any other information on this shooting.

Fort Campbell is set to break ground on its $40 million Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum later this week. On Thursday, 150 leaders and officials will gather at 10 a.m. to kick off the start of the development. The museum is 33 acres between Tiny Town Road and 41A in North Clarksville. It looks to pay tribute to the soldiers of Fort Campbell.

Tennessee gas prices moved slightly less expensive over last week, falling three cents on average. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $3.00 which is 20 cents cheaper than one month ago and 12 cents less than one year ago. The national average for a gallon of gasoline has held steady for the last two weeks at $3.44. Today’s national average of $3.44 is 16 cents less than a month ago and 13 cents less than a year ago.

The Portland Senior Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday at its new location at 108 Main Street. The center was presented a City of Portland Proclamation by Mayor Mike Callis at the June 17Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting praising it for its caring treatment of the area’s Senior Citizens
