A teen was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a deadly shooting in Madison. Metro police said 19-year-old Jaylin Sanford was arrested for the shooting that left 19-year-old Kenneth Buford Jr. dead in a field. Based on their investigation, authorities believe Buford and Sanford knew each other. Sanford was arrested outside of an apartment in West Nashville and has been charged with criminal homicide and attempted criminal homicide.

Franklin police are working to identify a man who took photos of a child inside a men’s bathroom in Cool Springs Galleria on Saturday, May 4. The 11-year-old victim told officers he was using the bathroom when somebody held their cell phone under the stall and pointed the camera in his direction. Franklin police identified the suspect as a white man with long blonde hair and a black beard. He was wearing a gray long-sleeve T-shirt, black pants, purple hat, and gray Nike sneakers with orange trim. He was seen arriving at the mall in a gray or silver SUV.

Two suspects are accused of stealing an elderly woman’s wallet from a Middle Tennessee Cracker Barrel location. Police say they rang up thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges. Goodlettsville police say it happened May 4 while the woman was eating inside the restaurant. The pair allegedly grabbed the victim’s wallet from her purse and then spent more than $10,000 on her bank cards.

A Springfield man was arrested on May 4 and charged with public intoxication and wanton endangerment after a UTV accident near Adairville, KY that has left one person in critical condition. When deputies arrived, they found a Utility Task Off-Road Vehicle (UTV) in a field roughly 50 yards from the road. They determined that the UTV had run off the road and overturned several times, throwing the driver out of the vehicle. Deputies said alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the accident. 1 9-year-old Devon K. Crenshaw of Springfield is under arrest.19-year-old Bo S. Bryant of Adams is listed in critical condition with multiple injuries at TriStar Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield.
