Police in Lebanon, say they arrested two men after they allegedly vandalized over 150 headstones. The vandalism occurred overnight in the Cedar Grove and Wilson County Memorial Gardens cemeteries on Friday.   Thirty-one-year-old Justin Emler and 23-year-old Jeremy Heaton were charged with vandalism of over 60 thousand dollars.  Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell took to FaceBook to share that he has family buried at both locations and that he’s angry..

According to an economic study done by CNBC,  Tennessee is the 9th worst state to live in.  The Volunteer state ranked low in a number of categories, including its crime, air quality, and access to childcare. However, the state did rank as the 6th best state for businesses.

Robertson Countians are beginning to pay less at the pump.  Triple-A reports the average cost of a gallon of regular gas going into the Midstate work week is four dollars and 12 cents. That’s down from last week’s average of four-30. Additionally, Tennessee is, on average, seeing cheaper gas than most of the nation. The nationwide average is about four-53.

The Tennessee Highway Safety Office is announcing the start of ‘Operation Southern Slowdown’ today.  The Volunteer State is joining four others to increase speeding enforcement through July 24th.  Police agencies will target speeders on interstates and state routes in an effort to reduce accidents.  The Safety Office reports a substantial increase in speeding over one-hundred miles-per-hour in the last two years.

Robertson Countians could try for discout ‘Hamilton’ tickets.  They’re be up for grabs through the show’s official app.  Performances begin at Jackson Hall on July 26th, with subsequent lotteries each week through the run, ending August seventh.  Some late-release tickets may also become available by searching T-P-A-C-dot-org.
