Police say the suspect in a Clarksville homicide is now in custody.  The incident was reported along Tiny Town Road yesterday morning.  Police arrested 21-year-old Darean Parrish in Springfield, accused in the shooting death of an unnamed 21-year-old victim.  Investigators say Parrish and the victim knew one another.

Police are preparing to bring the D.A.R.E. program back to Lebanon Special Schools.  The anti-drug effort launched nationwide in the 1980’s, but has been absent from the district since 2009.  Officer Richard Clark is working on the initiative beginning this fall, and says the instruction is updated to address what students face today.  Concerns around vaping, and for the first time, overdose, will be part of the renewed campaign.

Robertson Countians might want to get in on this:  The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is announcing a lottery for low-cost ‘Hamilton’ tickets.  Ten-dollar seats for the renowned Broadway musical will be up for grabs through the show’s official app beginning today.  Performances begin at Jackson Hall on July 26th, with subsequent lotteries each week through the run, ending August seventh.  Some late-release tickets may also become available by searching T-P-A-C-dot-org.

Governor Bill Lee says Tennessee families finally have the opportunity to choose the school they believe is best for their child.  The court yesterday lifted the injunction on the Education Savings Account program which will allow eligible families to use up to seven-thousand-dollars of public tax dollars on private school tuition and other approved expenses.  The governor says his administration will start working with families immediately and make ESA resources available online.
