A former Robertson County Schools principal has filed a civil suit against the district. Teno Geritano, who was head of the Robertson County Alternative Learning Center, and renamed the Robertson County Phoenix Academy, alleges that he was discriminated against on the basis of his age. Geritano had been a principal for 11 years in Illinois before accepting the principal position at the Alternative Program in 2017.
Gas prices are still rising across the Volunteer State. Travel club, Triple-A, reports an average of four dollars and 50 cents per gallon for Tennessee yesterday. Davidson County came in at four-49, with Rutherford County lower, around four-45 per gallon. Williamson County saw the highest average in Middle Tennessee at around four-66.
The payments for flood insurance are about to go up for some in Tennessee. So says a new LendingTree report which cites as the cause for the possible increase in recent changes made by FEMA on flood risk calculations. The report says the new calculation method places the insurance costs to cover flood damages more squarely on the shoulders of those living in flood-prone areas. Two Fort Campbell soldiers were arrested for a string of vehicle burglaries. Police say the burglaries happened in the area of Tiny Town Road and Peachers Mill Road. Security cameras captured someone entering one of the victims’ vehicles and the video was made public on May 25. The investigation led to the Thursday arrests of 22-year-old Kiyon Vaughn and 21-year-old Javon Richardson. Investigators are still sorting through property taken during the burglaries. Some of the items are debit/credit cards, identification cards, personal property, and two guns.
