A former Robertson County volleyball coach will spend four years in prison on sex charges. Authorities say Clifton Horn, a former volleyball coach at East Robertson High School, is accused on 67 counts after reportedly installing a video recording system in the team’s locker room in 2018. He pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to four years in prison, one year of probation and a minimum of ten years on the sex offender registry.
Bus routes are changing in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. School officials say because of a bus driver shortage, they’ll have to eliminate some routes. It means some elementary, middle and high school students who live a certain distance from their school may have to provide their own transportation, with a few exceptions. As the routes change or are eliminated, the school system says they are continuing to hire bus drivers and are offering sign-on bonuses.
The City of Springfield’s Freedom Fest, presented by Grace Baptist Church, will take place on Sunday, July 3rd at the Robertson County Fairgrounds. This family-friendly event is free and the fairgrounds will open at 3 p.m. with music beginning at 3:45 p.m. Seating will be available inside the arena. You’re welcome to bring chairs and blankets. The free concert will include performances by Grammy-nominated gospel band High Road, local artists, and the The Oak Ridge Boys. The evening will conclude with the city’s largest fireworks display beginning at 9:00 p.m. Free parking is available at the fairgrounds, Legion Park, and J. Travis Price Park.
