Three schools in Robertson County are getting STEM education boosts from the Tennessee Valley Authority.  The TVA has chosen Cheatham Park Elementary,  Robertson County Phoenix, and Innovation Academies to receive science, technology, engineering, and math education grants.  Teachers at over two-hundred-30 schools applied for the grants of up to five-thousand dollars per project.  TVA and partner organizations have distributed close to two-million dollars in STEM grant funding since 2018.

A couple from Tennessee is reportedly among the three people who died at a Bahamas resort.  CNN says today Michael Phillips and his wife Robbie were found dead at the Sandals Emerald Bay on Friday.  A Florida man was also found dead and his wife hospitalized in fair condition from yet unknown causes.  Toxicology reports are pending and the investigation is ongoing.

Standardized test scores will once again be required for admission to the University of Tennessee.  The COVID pandemic prompted many schools, including Tennessee, to forego the tests as testing sites closed to reduce the spread of the virus.  The Knoxville News Sentinel today says  officials have decided to keep the original policy which beginning this upcoming school year is to have students submit their SAT and-or their ACT scores.                     

A man has died after an early Monday morning crash in Goodlettsville. Police say 25-year-old Samuel Moss of Greenbrier was inside of a car on I-65 when it reportedly ran out of gas and pulled over. The driver of the car and another passenger left to get gas, leaving Moss inside of the car. Police say another vehicle hit the car Moss was in, killing him. The investigation into the crash continues.
