The autopsy results for a murdered Middle Tennessee deputy are out.  Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Savanna Puckett was found dead in her burning Springfield home in January.  The autopsy results released yesterday show the 22-year-old was shot eight times, including in the head, left hand and forearm, and three times in the back.  Her ex-boyfriend, James Jackson Conn, is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated arson.

Tennessee State Parks are offering free guided hikes as spring arrives.  Most of the guided hikes are scheduled for Saturday, March 19th.  The scheduled and guided Spring Hikes are for parks throughout the state.  The schedule and parks can be found at TnStateParks.com.

The owner of a Clarksville animal rescue is facing animal cruelty charges after nearly one-hundred cats were seized from the property.  Montgomery County Animal Care and Control Director David Kaske says the owner of Cats Are Us has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.  Ninety-four cats, many of which were sick, were removed from the facility.  Kaske says the owner was overwhelmed after taking in too many animals and was unable to properly care for them.

The TBI is investigating the discovery of human remains in Cheatham County.  The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office says the remains were found by kids in a heavily wooded-area, behind a cul-de-sac in Pleasant View.  The TBI and the Pleasant View Police Department are working together on the investigation.

The major league lockout is not affecting minor league play.  Tickets for Nashville Sounds games are now on sale.  The Minor League baseball team will kick off the season April 5th against the Durham Bulls at home.  More information on purchasing tickets and theme games can be found online at the Sounds website.
