Shoppers are running out of time to have their packages delivered by Christmas.  Memphis-based Federal Express says Christmas packages being sent for overnight services are due today.  The FedEx Same Day shipping deadline is tomorrow.

A Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools teacher is facing sex abuse charges involving a minor.  Heather Frazier was arrested yesterday and charged with sexual battery and sexual battery by an authority figure-forcible fondling.  Frazier moved to the district’s kindergarten through 12th-grade virtual school this year after teaching at Northeast High School since 2016 and has been with the district since 2012.  The district says the charges aren’t related to her position as a teacher.

Sumner County Animal Control is investigating a report of a woman being attacked by a kangaroo.  Officials said yesterday that the incident happened around 5 p.m. at a residence on Fern Valley Road when the woman was attacked by the animal before her husband stepped in to stop the confrontation and suffered minor injuries.  Animal Control says the kangaroo is now deceased but did not release the cause of death.   Kangaroo ownership is legal in 13 U.S. states, with Tennessee classifying ownership of wildlife in five classes without including kangaroos by name.

A woman murdered in Clarksville, Tennessee is being identified as a Fort Campbell soldier.  Clarksville police say Tabitha Collard was found dead during a welfare check on Monday.  A wounded man was also found during the welfare check.  Police say Collard appears to be the victim of an attempted murder-suicide.  They believe the man found wounded is responsible.
