Two people were injured when their SUV left Hwy 49 between Owens Chapel Rd and Hwy 76 just outside Springfield and overturned around 7:15 Monday night.  Cross Plains Fire Chief Tommy Jackson says the two occupants were rushed to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A probation officer made a grim discovery while making a “home visit” in Portland on Tuesday.  The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office says two people were found dead inside the home, a 32-year-old adult and a 3-month-old infant.
