Robertson County EMS Assistant Director Russell Gupton has resigned after 16 years of service to Robertson County. For the last nine years, Gupton has held the title of Assistant Director. Josh Rice has taken over Russell’s responsibilities as interim assistant director. Just weeks after Robertson County Schools announced the retirement of Assistant Director Stephanie Mason following a 32-year-long education career, the district found itself announcing her death. She reportedly died peacefully in her sleep January 29th. The cause of her death has not been released. The Tennessee Department of Health reported one-thousand-777 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to nearly 717-thousand.  More than 100 additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported, bringing the death count to more than 94-hundred.  Some 18-hundred COVID-19 patients are hospitalized statewide.. The Tennessee Department of Health reported 34-hundred new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total since the outbreak began to nearly 716 thousand.  150 additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported, bringing the total number of coronavirus-attributed deaths statewide to more than 93 hundred.  Some two thousand COVID-19 patients are hospitalized statewide. Three people are hospitalized following a Tuesday morning head-on crash at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Hwy 431 North in Springfield.
